A Wine Cooler Cellar or a Wine Cellar?
Hey there, are you looking for a wine cooler cellar or a wine cellar? Yes, there is a difference and a big one at that. You may already know this but I'm sure some of our other visitors might not, so please hang in there for a few seconds and I'll get right back to you. You may have noticed that this site is about chilling your wines and not about building a cellar. So, seeing as we are not into major construction about adding rooms or reconstruction of existing buildings, we are here to discuss free standing wine cellars. If you have been reading about wine at all, what is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear, "cellar?" No doubt it is some dark and dusty cave like environment, which would be ideal but, how many of us have a huge castle with miles of caverns for our growing wine stock. And if you do, I sure would like to see it some time. Anyway's, a wine cooler cellar is a whole different game and works on the same principle as that cave you're probably still thinking about. Our one big difference, of course, is that we use electricity to keep our bottled wines chilled. These types of cellars also have many varied meanings and are not always these huge big containers for storing 500 bottles but are also available for as little as six bottles. Yup, any cooler is actually a cellar too, which are also called wine refrigerators. However, we are not interested in the smaller coolers in this article. You can find them at our Wine Cooler Units page. We will be talking about full size wine tower cellar and coolers that you can actually walk into. Rather than building a cement or stone room at an extremely high cost you can either buy a complete self contained unit that fits the space you have available and holds up to 520 bottles or have one custom built to your specifications. Now, I'm not going to go into too much detail on this page as there are far too many wine cooler manufactures and wine cooler brands on the market to discuss on one page. As you will see below there are several pictures all related to the cellars we are discussing. Just click on the graphic that interests you and I will have another short article telling you about that particular unit along with my own personal thoughts. These pages are not sales oriented but are my own words where I attempt to help you in making your decision when it comes to possibly making a purchase. So, go right ahead and get started and by the way, do us a favor while you're browsing the list and send us a note if you would like more information or maybe you think another cooler should be listed. As always, we are here to help you.
