Now, are you looking for a double door wine cooler or a dual temperature wine cooler? Actual double doors, like French doors, you would find on full size wine cellar coolers which we will cover on another page later. What I think you want to know about is actually a dual temperature wine cooler with two doors, right? I thought so... I have seen dual temp coolers with one door but I wouldn't recommend that as the only thing separating the two different temperatures is a shelf. Not very efficient in my mind but, hey you might like that concept. A good quality double door wine cooler will have two tight fitting tinted doors that separate two compartments. This ensures that the temperatures are not affected by each other and will also reduce the compressor run time improving the life of your wine cooler. Consider how many bottles you want to store and add at least twenty percent more to prevent that dreaded mistake of, "I should have bought a larger cooler." For example; you decide you want enough wine storage to hold twenty bottles. Get the next unit higher that has at least space for twenty-four bottles of wine and no doubt you will need that space one day.In reality double door coolers are the right way to go when it comes to coolers. Red and white wines can both be kept at the proper drinking temperature. They just make life a little easier and definitely help the maturing of your wine.
